I am discovering now the value of all of this. I was a free subscriber for 2 months I think. Sorry I didn't pay right away! I think one of the biggest problem we have is how we became barbaric nations. This is part of knowing our past, honouring fathers and mothers but the work to be done is tremendous. We, catholics, don't recognize what is beautiful anymore. I thank you for all the work, may God reward you and I will try to share, and get more to subscribe to this beautiful work of making us heirs of our own past again. In Corde Jesu et Mariae
Due to being busy with work and kids I can't comment much, and tend to develop a backlog of posts from the Substacks I read before finding quiet time and playing catch-up. That said, yours is the only paid Substack I have because the idea of connecting art and the faith has been really helpful and intriguing to me. Similar to Rachel's comment, I also read your old blog and followed your Twitter and always appreciated your perspective. All of that is just to provide some encouragement! I upped for a yearly sub as well. Thanks for all you do Hilary!
Although I am interested in sacred art, the reason I became a paid subscriber is because of my gratitude for your old, closed blog. I have never forgotten the writing, the work done, and the viewpoint expressed there. It was just what I needed to read during that era. Thank you for all the time and work of those years.
I hope I'm not disappointing you with our lack of polemics. I rather worried that my old audience would be bored by the new work. It's not often very firey.
"Connecting the art to the Faith". This is why I keep coming back here (though lately I have been unable to keep up). To be honest, I was contemplating whether I should keep my monthly subscription, not only because of lack of time, but because of worries about my employment... But your plea for support as well as the the sneak peak on what is to come has me contemplating getting an annual subscription soon. In any case, keep it up!
The good thing about Substack is that while you get the emails into your inbox, it also works like a regular blog, with an archive, so you can come back to the site any time you like, and it's all there. In other words, it's very much a go-at-your-own-pace kind of thing.

Thanks so much, Isabel, for the kind words and the subscription.
I converted to paid a few weeks ago. I love all I have seen and learned on your Substack!

Thanks so much Taylor.
In the near future, people with annual subscriptions will be getting more than they knew. Things are happening.
Hilary, thank you for all your hard work! I will pay my annual subscription soon! God bless you!
You're my biggest fan, I don't know what I'd do without you. Thanks.
Thank you for your great work

It has all been for the glory of God. That's what matters, and that's why I read. God bless you!
